How it all started...
In August of 2010, God called pastor Eleazar Lara to plant the church Holy Ghost Victory Praise (Encounter Grace Church) in the Clayton Carter neighborhood of Lubbock, Tx. Over the years the ministry experienced growth. With God's provision, the church was able to connect to many of the surrounding communities, deliver the gospel and provide care packages to the homeless. The church has not just been a place of gathering, but a place of worship and discipleship.
Expanding the vision...
Encounter Grace is dedicated to building God's kingdom. Our vision is to see people's lives changed, restored, and discipled into the will of God. Whether that be within the walls of our building, the parks of our neighborhood, or throughout the city. We've also expanded our online presence, support outreach programs, collaborate with other churches, sponsor mission ministries, and provide counseling services to help effectively spread the gospel.
